Is Savings Chart actually free?
Yes. Creating an account, building budgets, switching between months, and exporting your charts are all free. We may add optional premium features later, but the core tool will stay free for personal use.
Where is my data stored?
Your account and budgets are stored on a private server we operate in Canada. We don't share your data with third-party advertisers or analytics providers, and we never sell it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Do you give financial or investment advice?
No. Savings Chart is a visualization tool, not a financial advisor. The numbers you see are simply the numbers you enter — we don't recommend specific investments, products, or strategies. For personalized financial decisions, consult a licensed professional.
Can I track more than one budget?
Yes. Each account can hold as many budgets as you like. People commonly keep one for personal expenses, one for a partner or household, and one for a small side business. You can also use the "Job Search" template to track applications through stages like Screening, Interview, and Offer.
What's the calendar view?
Each budget is broken down month by month. Open the Calendar tab to see all twelve months of the year at a glance, each with its own mini Sankey chart. Click any month to drill in and edit it.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, anytime. Email us at [email protected] and we'll permanently delete your account and all associated budget data within 7 days.
